New Prospect

About New Prospect

Company Background

New Prospect is an ALMO (arms length management organisation), a non-profit making company which is fully owned by Salford City Council but operates independently. ALMO's are a way of retaining council housing stock while obtaining the substantial amount of money required to tackling housing repairs. Established in September 2002, we employ nearly 400 staff and manage around 14,500 properties. Development of people is key to our long-term business objectives and as an organisation we fully understand the impact that training and development can have on an individual's ability to perform in their role.

Our aims

New Prospect fully supports Salford City Council's mission statement to "create the best possible quality of life for the people of Salford." We are also committed to help deliver Salford City Council's pledge to provide "quality homes for all."

Our primary aim is to help ensure that every person in the City of Salford lives in a decent home. To achieve this, we are constantly looking to improve the quality and value of our services, involve tenants in the management of their homes and secure the right investment to maintain and improve homes.

New Prospect intends to do this by:

  • Delivering quality services in a responsive, courteous and fair manner
  • Providing services, which meet customer requirements
  • Having a professional approach and well-trained colleagues who take pride in their work
  • Keeping customers informed of what they can expect to receive when making an enquiry
  • Getting things right the first time
  • Encouraging customers to tell us when we do not meet expectations
  • Responding effectively to any complaints and to use customer feedback to improve our services.
